What we collect
When you use our enquiry form, we receive your name, email address and message, together with the company name or channel link you choose to provide. The form also identifies the selected language and whether you contacted the monetization team or the studio. We keep the correspondence needed to handle your enquiry.
When your browser connects to the website, our hosting service processes technical information such as IP address, request time, requested address, browser information and response status to deliver and protect the service. The enquiry handler also uses a random request identifier, timestamps and keyed digests to limit abuse and avoid duplicate messages; it does not keep the message text in its anti-abuse state.
Please include only information relevant to your enquiry. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or sensitive personal information through the form.
Why we use it and our legal bases
- To respond to an enquiry and discuss services: steps at your request before entering a contract, where you would be the contracting party (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). For general questions or contact on behalf of a company, our legitimate interest in handling business correspondence applies (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To operate the website, protect it from abuse and prevent duplicate submissions: our legitimate interest in a reliable and secure service (Article 6(1)(f)).
- To comply with applicable legal obligations: Article 6(1)(c). Where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) applies.
Providing your details is voluntary. The required form fields let us understand your request and reply; without them we cannot handle an enquiry through the form. The company or channel field is optional. You can also contact us by email.
Submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to a newsletter. We do not use enquiry data for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects, or for advertising profiling.
Who receives the information
Enquiries are delivered to hello@yolu.eu, with a duplicate sent to yolu.network@gmail.com. They are handled by the YOLU team members who need the information to respond. We do not transfer these enquiries to a CRM or mailing list.
GoDaddy provides website hosting and email delivery infrastructure. Google provides the Gmail mailbox used for the duplicate. These providers process information needed to supply and secure their services. We do not sell your enquiry data. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary for a legal claim.
International processing
Our hosting and email providers operate internationally, so information may be processed outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. A European website hosting location does not mean that every email copy, support operation or backup stays in Europe.
Google describes its use of adequacy decisions, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses in its transfer information. GoDaddy describes its international processing in its privacy notice. Contact hello@yolu.eu for information about the safeguards applicable to your data and how to obtain a copy.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not lead to a client project, we keep the correspondence for up to 12 months after the last contact, then delete it from both enquiry mailboxes. If we need to keep particular information to meet a legal obligation or deal with a dispute, we retain only the necessary records for that purpose.
If you become a client, relevant information becomes part of the project or contractual records. Those records are kept for the duration of the relationship and the applicable statutory or legal-claim period, rather than the enquiry-only period.
The form’s anti-abuse and duplicate-detection records use a 24-hour validity window. Expired entries are removed when that state is next successfully updated; this is not a promise that every technical file is physically deleted at exactly 24 hours. Hosting logs and provider backups follow the provider’s security, recovery and retention procedures. We can provide further information on request.
How we protect it
The website uses HTTPS. The form validates submissions, restricts recipients and uses anti-abuse controls. Its anti-abuse state is kept outside the public website folder and uses keyed digests rather than raw IP addresses. These digests are a protective measure, not a claim that the records are anonymous.
The form does not save your name, email or message in browser storage. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your rights and how to contact us
Subject to the conditions in the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing or data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests because of your particular situation. If a processing activity is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting its earlier lawfulness.
Write to hello@yolu.eu to exercise your rights. If we have reasonable doubts about your identity, we may request the additional information necessary to confirm it. We respond without undue delay and within one month of receiving your request. Where its complexity or the number of requests justifies an extension under the GDPR, we may take up to two additional months and will notify you of the extension and its reasons within the first month.
You may complain to the Latvian Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija), or to the supervisory authority in the EU/EEA country where you live or work or where the alleged infringement occurred. You do not have to contact us first.
